PRESIDENT/CEO Norman Dibble, of White Salmon, WA is a designer and builder with a background in Ecological Design, Hydrology, Construction, and Architecture. His work integrates elements of art, science, and engineering with a deep respect for natural processes and living systems. His favorite projects enhance natural ecological functions while creating aesthetically pleasing solutions to complex design challenges. He is a founding member of Atlan Center, a 150 acre intentional community along the White Salmon River, and the founder of CultureSeed, a 501c3 non-profit that offers local youth long-term outdoor immersion and outdoor mentorship opportunities with a focus on mental health.
VICE PRESIDENT Alison C. Dibble, Ph.D., of Brooklin, ME, received her graduate training at the University of Maine, Orono, ME. She is a plant conservation biologist and forest ecologist, retired. She founded Stewards LLC, an ecological consulting firm, and was the principal scientist from 2004-2021. The firm conducted ecological surveys and planning for land trusts, state parks, tribes, farms, and private owners of conservation lands. Her government contracts, some through the University of Maine, included research on pollinators, rare plants, invasive plants as they relate to wildfire fuels, air quality monitoring using lichens and mosses, and sustainable forest management. She has published more than 30 peer reviewed research papers, and taught science courses at the University of Maine and elsewhere. A full CV is available upon request.
